We collect data about you in order to respond to comments you leave on the site, contact you regarding any services you have enquired about or marketing material you have opted to receive.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Clicking the Download button from any of the walking routes on this site from a mobile will re-direct you to the Visorando app via an affiliate link. If the app is not already installed on your device you will be invited to do so. Creating an account with Visorando is optional. Gillian’s Walks earns a small referral commission from each click through to the app by a mobile user.
The Guided Walks and Outdoor Learning Courses listed on this site re-direct to Eventbrite for bookings.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
