Walk 193 – Glen Sherup Horseshoe, The Ochils – 9.8 miles

Taking in the rolling summits of Innerdownie, Whitewisp Hill, Tarmangie Hill and – optionally – Ben Shee, this circular walk on the southern edge of Perth & Kinross offers a mixture of forest trails and open grassy hillside. It is best experienced on a clear day when the views can be appreciated to their fullest.

Walk 157 – In Search of the Pink Footed Geese, Loch Leven – 9.5 miles

A varied and scenic circular walk on the northern end of Loch Leven. Follow the Loch Leven Heritage Trail for 2 miles before heading onto higher ground at the foot of the Lomond Hills.  Follow a mixture of farm tracks, minor roads and a dismantled railway to return to the starting point.

Walk 140 – Blairadam Forest N.E. Corner – 6.3 miles

Blairadam Forest on the southern tip of Perth & Kinross is a bit of a maze! With so many tracks and footpaths to choose from it is hard to know where to start. This is a walk which shows off the variety possible within it, from way-marked gravel tracks to off-the-beaten-track passageways! Pass the impressive Blair Adam House and walled garden from which the forest takes it’s name. Cross farmland, enjoying the views of Loch Leven and Benarty Hill (The Sleeping Giant). Venture off-the-beaten-track on muddier ground beneath Cowden Hill (option to avoid – see route). Meander along the Kelty Burn through beautiful woodland. Perfect!

Walk 132 – Blairadam Forest S.E Corner – 4 miles

Depending where exactly in Blairadam you are walking, you might either be in Fife or in Perth & Kinross! This walk covers the south-eastern edge of the forest, beginning at a small car park just off the B914 next to Kelty. It takes you deep into the forest with the path initially running parallel to the M90 before heading to higher ground from where you can enjoy fabulous views North to Loch Leven. The route then loops back to the start via Clentry, a cluster of farm cottages. Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of the fabled ‘Beast of Blairadam’ during your visit 😮
